Truth is I don’t think I bother to learn their name until I see if they will make it through the first week

I have been there before.

Or, as I’ve heard it put elsewhere, he thinks he’s a wit. He’s half right.

The Weak Optimism of the Horse

That means he’s already half-unemployed.

Optimists refuse to list the bad things that could happen and report the only good. Pessimists only see the bad things and ignore the good. Realists see both but due to optimists must report those things that could go wrong—nothing is ignored.
