Since when is Broomie’s Nerwin’s “parent”?

Irwin is the kid’s blood relative; HE should attend that meeting!!

As a former teacher and a parent of a teacher, I suggest going to all of these meetings. The saddest thing is that it’s usually the parents of the high achievers who come to the parent-teacher evenings. Of course, there are a lot of reasons, not least of which is, some parents can’t get the time off work or are single parents with other kids. But when parents of struggling kids DO show up, it’s amazing how much that can help their child change course in a good way.

Too bad there’s no baseball game to see. I miss the old, “Watch me paste this pathetic palooka with a powerful paralyzing perfect pachydermus percussion pitch.”

The danger of going to a ball game is that it’s televised and you might accidentally get shown on TV, Nerwin…
