You’re both right! The “common cold” is constantly coming out with variants, which is why it is so common. Thank goodness it isn’t as dangerous as you-know-what. (I absolutely hate that I even know this.)
The common cold is always “a new variant”… due constant mutation. Just as Covid is repeatedly mutating. Effective long term vaccines are impossible for either one.
