If Duke was as sharp as he’s supposed to be, he’ll have told a few of the “protesters” what he didn’t tell Alice, that Trump’s in back of it all. So that, should this all go south, Trump might not have quite enough plausible deniability to evade accusations of involvement. Not that that’d matter, but still.
As now we all know how that Vladimir, rode a sorry old horse right on inta there, and that one he rode in on ain’t got any skin on and caint haul his ass off to Fridgedor.
One thing I’m sure was happening in 1997: “Conservative” comic strip readers were b/tching about GBT writing/drawing strips about Trump instead of about Bill and/or Hillary Clinton. Meanwhile, Bruce “Mallard Fillmore” Tinsley was writing/drawing little else. Were “liberal” comic strip readers b/tching about that, or did they just accept that “conservative” comic strip artists did things like that? I suppose either is possible.
Did you (it’s not as though I’m the only one who goes off-topic around here) know that the name “Mallard Fillmore” was first used in 1982 in DC Comics’ “Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew,” as the name of the President of “the United Species of America”? He was even green, just like Tinsley’s Mallard. Yet, if DC Comics has taken ever taken action on this blatant if perhaps unintentional copyright violation, I haven’t heard about it. And yes, I know that both names are puns on “Millard Fillmore” (1800-1874), U.S. President from 1850 to 1853.
Imus did rule for a long time. Never aligned with his opinions but he was one hell of a funny guy. I never did forgive Imus for giving Trump the support that might have made a difference in his election. I can tell you, if he were alive today, he would be ridiculing Trump mercilessly.
That guy standing next to Elmont certainly got a noticeable case of five o’clock shadow between panels 1 and 3.
On a separate note, perhaps announcing the details of one’s deception over a frickin’ bullhorn audible to anyone within a quarter-mile or so isn’t the best approach.
But it’s just a comic strip and I should really just relax. :-)

The 1996-97 Knicks were pretty good. They were 49-18 on the day this cartoon ran.

Betcha that Sabatini has “protection” who will disperse those feeble-minded “protesters” for good!!

I don’t think there would be too much sympathy for limo drivers, but then again they look like bums

In Panel 4, Duke’s hairstyle is channeling Boris Johnson from over twenty years in the future.
