Nice looking group Fred, but on this page, YOU are top dog!

Don’t be so sure Fred. The competition looks very good.

As you know, you are always the winner with us, and it’s always nice to be confident, but that poodle on your right is nice looking. You know the old saying about chickens and counting and all. Hopefully your name will come tumbling out of his mouth.

The winner is the dog that gets to the Sausage table first !

Come on, ‘Fred’, you know the old adage—’Don’t count your chickens before they are hatched’. Thinking the way you’re thinking can lead to disappointment later. SHRINK YOUR HEAD, ‘Fred’ ! ! ! ! !

I hate to say it, but I think Fred won’t win. Remember… England… 2021 Euros… It didn’t come home. But it should have.

Whether Fred wins or not, he’s very confident. I thought at first that this should have been before last Saturday’s strip but I see Jock isn’t there to come second to Fred so this must be a different dog show.

Jock would clearly have won Saturday’s dog show if Fred hadn’t been there. Maybe he wasn’t entered for this show because his owners knew Fred was competing and didn’t want Jock to lose to Fred again. This may have been because it seems to have led to a temporary glitch in Jock’s friendship with Fred.

Fred sure competes a lot. I dunno how he can win, the way he packs in the sausages!

Last week, Fred won 1st prize with his friends being 2nd and 3rd but today another dog show!!!!!

Everybody believes their dog is the best, and none of the are wrong.

Ok, Mr. Graham, it is not nice to ‘bait us’ with one strip and then the next day put up one unrelated ! ! ! Did or did not ‘Fred’ win the dog show ??
