If there were an actual button to mute only the laugh track, I wonder how many would use it.

(I would have it glued down.)

I figure that’s meant to be a raven atop the TV — but if it were a penguin, would it explode? (Monty Python reference)

Of course, if it were just a 2”-thick rectangle, readers might not recognize it as a TV.
