Cosplay!!

I’ve reached that stage of life where I’d rather be warm than comfortable (technically, I don’t think I ever left that stage).

But Amanda, everyone in North Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, and Canada looks like that in winter…except teenagers who bop around in light jackets and no hats and gloves. An observation from decades of riding buses to work…and the girls waiting at the bus stops with long still wet hair as well always amazed me.

Perfectly outfitted for a nice walk. Remember to move vigorously, so you don’t freeze in place.

“O my God – They killed Kenny! And stole his outfit.”

He wasn’t using it.

I’d give you the coat off my back, except it’s too cold.

Add Mukluks and a Thermos of hot chocolate with peppermint Schnapps. Outdoors optional. Perhaps a black and white Rom-com.

When we moved up here from San Francisco our winter coats became late spring/early fall coats. Someone had the foresight to plan a stop in Portland and visit the Columbia store. Well worth it. Warm, dry, and very comfy/cozy.

And we’re here in the 80s today in the South. Not that anyone’s asking.

If Polar Bears can wear thick heavy coats I see no reason why people can’t. Dress for the weather I say. I’d rather be warm and dry than cold and wet any day.
