@Eldo Today’s strip IS funny , our HERO Mr Andrew Capp’s celebrating St Paddy’s day because of the beer is priceless :o), my avatar is a spoof of what people think what a dentist’s tools look like , like I did when I had teeth, how was your day ours should be quite busy but we will cope I hope , we are both in a good mood and after our bulk shopping is done we have no more errands to run just stay inside the house and keep hydrated because it’s cold and windy outside , keep safe and catch you later pal
I can eat corned beef and cabbage any day of the week and having a pint or two needs no excuse. But to give a young lass from the Emerald Isles a kiss on the cheek I’ll have to be doing some explaining. My, look at the time. I’d better get busy. Hello, hello, hello!
March 17 is Saint Patrick’s Day and March 01 is Saint David’s Day which means that two of the four countries of the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) celebrate their Patron Saint in the same month.
The Union Jack contains an amalgamation of the crosses of Saint George, Saint Andrew and Saint Patrick. The Welsh flag is not represented on the Union Jack. The Welsh flag shows not a cross but a Red Dragon. According to legend, Saint George didn’t get along very well with dragons.
Many English pubs are called the George and Dragon. We have one here in Chester but it is currently closed. I hope it will reopen as this will provide work in the area. Andy likes to see pubs opening and reopening but doesn’t like to see unemployment figures come down.
faith and begorrah, my last name is O’Connell, descendent of the ancient kings of Ireland, and Jeremiah The Bible Prophet took with the daughter of king Zedekiah of Jerusalem called Teia Tephi of the tribe of Judah, landing at Howth, near Dublin, in Ireland on the 18th. of June 583 B.C. and she was married into the O’Connell clan, so i’m Jesus’ cousin a couple of times removed, but from Providence (RI), not Boston….
Panel One: Any place you and Andy go into tonight, Chalkie, is bound to be noisy.
Panel Two: I think we’ve all figured out that Andy will con Chalkie into paying for each Guinness, while he takes the free ones — he can argue that it’s the one occasion when he’s not asking Chalkie to pay for his drinks.

Do you know who the first Irishman is to come outside in the Spring?
Have you heard of Mr. Paddy O’Furniture? :-)

Is this the only day of the year when ‘cultural appropriation’ is acceptable? I say this as half-Irish wearing orange at work today.
