    My wife and I did some hiking like that. She took what she could carry, and I took the rest. Bit of a challenge.

    We get June bugs (in June, go figure!) on our sidewalk on their backs. I flip them over, but my wife tells me to step on them. If I crushed them, I’d feel guilty. (“Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.” (Matt. 5:7.).

    I did that once on a trail in Kansas. I was stuck between two rocks on the Elk River (Lake) Trail and had to squirm out of my pack.
