I would love to be festooned by spring for a while first!

DON’T RUSH IT! I’m still waiting for Spring to settle down. It keeps going here on the west coast from warm weather to cold weather to rainy weather back to warm weather then to windy, cold weather and then…. Last week I saw 89F, then 2 days later the high was 59F. Make up your mind! Can I put away my jackets or not? :-)

    Ugh—I hate summer!!

The heat, the humidity, the mosquitos that use me as a free lunch counter!!

And worst of all—my favorite TV shows knocked off for some damned sports event!!

Well… “festoon: a string or chain of flowers, foliage, ribbon, etc., suspended in a curve between two points.” So he might pass up on that.

Festooned? Perhaps things have changed, but when I was a boy, boys tended to un-festoon themselves in the summer.

The only thing I’ll be “festooned” with is bug bites and the soft glow of radiation poisoning (aka sunburn). Not a big fan of summer heat, me.

Summer is a season that has to be endured. Can’t walk to the car without picking up ticks and being attacked by swarms of mosquitos. And then the hurricanes …

I’m surprised there wasn’t blanket of snow in the last panel, just as a reminder it ain’t here yet.

I work night shift. Summer means fishing from 2200 to 0630. Best season ever for me!

I could be festooned with summer and a nice lady at my side. If not I would settle for fishing then.
