Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Everyone knows that. And yet people continue over and over to fail to learn from it.

The closest I came to experiencing real war was TV news covering it. And I still don’t want to experience it.

One of our best friends is still alive and kicking. Her mental health? I wish every adult had hers. She’s 90 and remembers WW2 and the time before and after vividly. We (her children included, my husband and her son are the closest of friends since high-school and I’m lucky enough to be in that friendship) always told her to write a book.

Grim just wants more war so he can have more bodies and souls to collect.

It’s different this time. It will be different next time.

The victors write the history books.

…but WW 1 was “The War To End All Wars”….

The common man doesn’t start wars, look to the very rich and powerful they are the ones who profit from war. I say, stick a AK-47 into their arms and send them to the front.

Draft the children of the very rich and powerful and send them to fight the wars and there will be no more wars.

So sad and so very true.

We have a war, get rid of the dictator, then a new one pops up and the cycle begins again. There is Who Flug Dung in North Korea, Putin in Russia, and they all have nukes. It could get very nasty before it gets better, if it ever does.

War isn’t the problem. The US or any major country could kill off the rest of the world and leave only themselves. Shortly, they would start to fight amongst themselves over something. War isn’t the problem, there is a basic flaw in the species, one of many that makes us that way. Look at history if you need proof.

We are sooner or later going to be doomed.
