I used to have a dog called Echo.

I think Echo’s artificial intelligence is working just fine, considering the household.

I wish Alexa were more like that. I had to turn off her responses.

Though unfamiliar with the term “echo dot” I figure it’s like Alexa or Siri. And it is bursting with Existentialist aphorisms, a good fit for Gary-Owen….
