It is true, though. Things I’m normally competent at become impossible when my wife is where, especially if she’s giving me advice on how to do it. If I’m driving alone, I don’t get lost. If she’s there telling me how to drive, I can’t find my way home from the mall.
If it’s a simple machine, I’m not too bad. Blenders, sewing machines, vacuums – I can usually figure out the problems. But as soon as you get into electronics; microwaves, TVs, computers- no way. I do have a 18 year old Mini Cooper, but now mostly drive an EV. No oil to change.
