Saw that coming. No disco here, but a few clothes that are meaningful and hang in the guest closet. The fact that I still can wear them is another reason they are not donated to a charity. Who knows when they will come back in style or at least a neat Halloween costume.
It makes me a little sad that Ben is not too old to have had a disco shirt. It means I am as old as they are supposed to be. Reality check. Maybe Ben looks old for his age. On the plus side, I never had a disco blouse.
I know how he feels. I still have my sea bag, with my uniforms in it from the Marines. Even though I was discharged in ‘70, I just can’t make myself get rid of them.
We have used numerous items during the pandemic that we had not used in years/decades and which if we had gotten rid of as we did not use them, we would have had many problems getting through the pandemic.
Whenever we had a problem with some situation or another, I would come up with a solution from the assorted items in the house that had been kept, unused, and solved problems of being in the house and not going out. (And we still are not going out most of the time due to concerns about Covid locally.)

I’d say the memories spark joy. Apologies to Marie Kondo.

I wish I still had a few of mine. Sniff.
They spontaneously combusted in 1987.

This is going to be tough for Ben to do when everything sparks joy, even if it’s useless.
