I take my dog with me for mammograms, and any other medical visit that clears me to take her along. I have the test done in the same hospital where we do dog therapy work, so most of the staff there is very happy to see us! I have been surprised at the places I can take my dog if I just ask ahead of time. She’s small, well behaved, certified as a therapy dog and has 5 years of experience. Still, she doesn’t just stand still to be petted. She’s interactive when it seems appropriate. She goes for blood tests too. And my gel knee shots. I wish I could get those it the mail.
