Today’s strip caused me to look up “the Wizard of Id” to see when it began. To my surprise, I learned it dates all the way back to 1964, so it would be appropriate for it to appear in R and R, which is set about 1970.
Next time say, “describe The Wizard of Id to me today!” My cats would have been sleeping on the newspaper by that time or reading it from my back/shoulders. Cats have really been on my mind lately.
When I was a little girl, on Sundays I’d sit on my dad’s lap and he’d read me the Sunday funnies. When he got to Prince Valiant, I hated that strip. He loved it! Just a memory that stays with me, as my dad never read story books to me, yet he was an avid reader!

It’s time to make some Milky Bones go “poof”!

Better hope he keeps the “f” on that word, or someone lets him out.
