    It’s instinct. Besides where you buried your bone, even a year old one, is much more important than what day of the week it is.

    Because dogs, like retired people, don’t need to always know what day it is. I am always waiting for Friday. It never gets here quick enough

    The days of the week all smell the same. A buried bone still has a slight smell that your canine nose can find a year later.

    Days of the week matter only for broadcast tv, a job, and knowing when to go to church. Since none of that applies to you Fred, the day of the week is meaningless to you other than you will have a couple of days where the kids will play with you longer.
