This is a contentious matter actually between the people of Mexico City and the rest of Mexicans. Calling a folded tortilla with something a quesadilla. We call it a taco; the cheese is implicit in the name, i.e. if you want a quesadilla with mushrooms it must have cheese AND mushrooms. It is kind of a recurrent joke in sitcoms.
