I fell asleep once, during the day. Long story as to why, it involved a truant adolescent son, my working 12 hour shifts in ICU, and other domestic stress. Woke up to doorbell, panicked and guilt-stricken. Opened door to find same police officer I had dealt with earlier in the day. He was driving by and saw my second, four year old son spray-painting our Caravan in the driveway. The officer said, “You’re not having a good day, are you, ma’am?” Once again was spared from disaster. All sons (third one was safe in crib) grown to be wonderful men. Thank you again, universe, I do not take good fortune as a given!
