Not as ridiculous and terrible as what they do to us when we are infants and toddlers, having us on display as laughingstock for their own benefit, not “for our own good”, by having us wear diapers, suck pacifiers, and whatnot. It is their retribution for the pain we caused them for having us. Sadly, it does not stop when we get older, but they only want us to grow up to be just as ridiculous as they are. It is the circle of life.

Parents have “retro-vision”. They still see how cute that stuff used to look. Teenage children don’t have those memories.
