He’s not really an idiot. He’s just drawn that way.

In my younger days i played golf. If it was raining that hard they would close the course.

Golf in rain is not good. Dilutes the beer and puts out the cigars.

I remember driving by a public course near Seattle and seeing men on the greens even though it was raining rather hard. My initial reaction? “Idiots.” Now? “Golfers.” But I really have no room to criticize.

When I was in my teens, I’d head out to local schools so I could fungo baseballs because I simply loved hitting them, hearing the crack of the bat and watching them fly. This occasionally extended to hitting baseballs toward a snow-covered field, then spending God knows how long searching for the white balls buried in the white snow.

Golfers. An interesting yet perplexing species.

I used to play when raining, but when it was intermittent. If its too much, the putting would be too difficult.

Well, why not? Every ball he hits goes in the water anyhow, so what difference does it make?
