Here, let me weave between your legs and around your feet in order to speed you along to the kitchen.

Now Mom, you know you need to feed The Mittens first thing in The AM. Then you can take your shower. That’s how my cats rule.

Amongst our five cats we have a pair of Siameseses sisters. If I don’t feed the pack first these two will climb the stairs and scream at me, “Feed us, feed us NIAOW!!!!” They will even find a way into the master bathroom and excoriate me whilst I am in the morning shower. Life with cats is never boring.

Cats do know how to beg.

So does my wife’s dacshund!!

My cats over the years have been very good and subtle about mealtime reminders. After hours where you cannot find a cat under any circumstances, there is suddenly a cat everywhere you look.

We had a miniature schnauzer that had to be fed at certain times of the day. She always sensed when 6pm came around, but I finally set an alarm on my phone, so when she heard it, she KNEW it was dinner time! oh, I miss my Rosie.
