If the N.C.A.A. is able to have a
tournement for basketball, baseball, and the smaller college
level football the could develope
a system for division One.
The monies generated would well exceed the monies that basketball generates. Just think what that could mean to the teams and their respective conferences. There would be a revenue stream that could provide the schools funds to hire the assistant to the assistant assistant a job. If there happened to be anything left over after administration fees then there may be sommething for the students.
One problem with football playoffs is that you can play football only once a week, and you’re preparing all week. The season would get intolerably long.
Also, every game brings the risk of career-ending injury. There is not much demand for degreed basket-weavers or interprative dancers in today’s economy, so an injury to a star player is a huge loss in livelihood.

PE Obama has already said that the championship should be based on a playoff system so you can’t look to a bailout unless the bcs changes to playoffs.

A playoff system though…gosh. These guys are supposed to be college students. This is finals time. Oh…what was I thinking? Never mind.
