Why do people decorate their homes with dead plants. And it’s not only flowers; every year people bring entire dead trees into their homes. I only have live plants in my home.

I like my flowers outside. The cats don’t eat them that way!
Harvesting flowers doesn’t actually kill the plant. But is is any better to think that we’re displaying its genitalia?
