At least Dear could retrace his steps and found his screwdriver, four months and the hammer is still lost. I don’t care what he says. He lost it.

I’ll be honest: yesterday I felt, if given a chance, I could’ve found it.

Isn’t it odd how our brain works; not consciously thinking of something, but sub consciously you are.

Years ago my mother lost her credit cards. She and Dad spent a lot of time on the phone cancelling them. Six months later I was cleaning the travel trailer and found them on a shelf. When I showed them to Mom, the first thing she said was, “Don’t tell your father!”

One Sunday I found a wallet laying in the middle of my street. Inspection of the contents revealed an out-of-town owner. Had a name & address but no phone#. Did find an email so, I emailed him.

It was a work email so, he didn’t see it ’til Monday. Apparently, he was helping a friend work on his car, took out his wallet and laid it on the bumper. It fell off during a test run. By the time he saw the email and contacted me, he had already cancelled all the credit cards. He was still grateful about getting his cash though.

I totally identify with his happiness…misplacing things drives me nuts; always a surge of relief when they turn up.
