If the ice cream guy would roll the ball into more of an oval before putting it on the cone, it would fit better and wouldn’t fall off. Once on the cone, then the top could be rounded off quite easily with the scoop.

Give it to him in a dish this time.

Actually both husband and I were raised that one does not buy food from sidewalk vendors and still do not do so.
