I had a “Panic” button fall off the wall yesterday, I accidently hit the button putting it back. My ears are still ringing. Security company called and it took forever to get them to turn it off. I was outside because of the noise BUT I went back inside to annoy them and they finally shut it off
We’re lucky that our alarm system doesn’t go off on a regular basis. It went off a couple of years ago when Dad burned something that spilled on the stove, triggering the smoke alarm.
