Just film the kid and make profit from the video to make up for the babysitting money you won’t get. No Tiktok or Insta back then but lots of “funny family videos” TV shows to choose from…

since when would a trashy tv talk show air uncensored? was it on hbo or something?

That’s my opinion of Barney, too.

I watched TV with my granddaughters when they were little. I had my fill of My Little Pony and Dora the Explorer. However, Phineas and Ferb has enough clean adult humor (way over the head of even older children) to keep my brain from rotting.

I also made note of the commercials. Many were aimed at kids. Many were aimed at adults.

Gotta agree with the kid in that last frame…

This is a very funny arc.

It’s not easy for a two year old to pronounce *%#@!

The longer this goes on the sillier I find the comic strip way of writing profanity. Wouldn’t asterisks or hyphens be less distracting?

Not at all, Paige; watch Care Bears. The Lovely & Charming Mrs. Cowboy used to have a hairdresser who made house calls – which meant I got to hang with said practitioner’s daughter while they worked. One time she brought a CB video. I was dreading it – but (speaking now as a Deadhead, with some small experience in the matter) that was _the most _ acid-soaked, psychedelic thing I ever saw!!!

Well, I can’t say I disagree with the child…

It takes a genius to figure out a storyline to have a child learn bad words and then make a bunch of people who don’t like Barney happy like in the last panel and make it funny and do it within the comic strip guidelines for that time period. I am open to corrections.

What was even the point of Barney anyway? What did it teach?

Selena Gomez seems to be doing just fine. The original guy in the Barney suit had sex charges against him few years back.

I had a game on my 1996 Mac called Barney Carnage. You cloud shoot him and splat him to stop his singing.

Lots of great shows for little kids. My grandkids and I love Peppa Pig and Masha and the Bear

Whatever word she learned can’t have been that bad since the really foul ones are bleeped out..

And to her that makes perfect sense.
