I remember reading Doonesbury, back in the 70’s, when the strip went to Viet-Nam the first time. Trudeau did a great job of making them look like people, rather than monsters.

I wonder if little Do gets an employee discount? I know when I worked for Motorola we didn’t get a discount and we weren’t allowed to carry Motorola cell phones in the factory. …sooo ironic. (I wonder what ever happened to that Harvard IL white elephant)

I sense a shock in Kim’s near future. But maybe Trudeau is playing an Uno reverse.

I like how this shows what a good relationship Kim has with her adoptive parents and how supportive and unthreatened they are by her search for her birth family.

Side note: after the breakup of the Soviet Union, truck hijacking became prevalent. “Sports shoes” were often targeted. It got so bad it become customary to ship right shoes in one truck and left shoes in another, so there was no value to hijacking such a truck. (No, the trucks did not travel together.)
