When I was young, I was watching my dad’s cat walking along the edge of our pool. She slipped and fell into the water; is was not a pleasant site with fur and legs flying everywhere. The depiction in panel 6 is accurate. She did eventually make it out and unlike the wicked witch in OZ, she did not melt!

The birdie seems to be a cross between the Red Devils and the A-10!

Be glad it’s just a little red birdie. It could have been a pelican.

One of my cats jumped into the bird bath one time and came out with a big hole in her side. That birdbath was “owned” by a cardinal.

A Cat with a Hat is one thing, but an Umbrella is just too Pretentious.

Got to love that “I Got An Idea” face in the second panel.
