Yesterday morning, the 14-day forecast said clear and sunny all next week. This morning, it’s overcast all week and rain starting Thursday. Yes, I do live in the Pacific Northwest, why do you ask?
Supposed to get a big storm, got about .01" of rain. Was supposed to get a bigger storm, got about .08" of rain. Nothing much mentioned about rain at all, got about .5". Gardener, got a weather station, important to know when to water.
The classic French expression is “Plus ça change, plus c’est le même chose.” This an ironic comment: when weather forecasts were less reliable, people complained about their inaccuracy all the time—now that they are much more accurate, we can still complain about petty deviations from what’s been foretold.

Lately whenever mine says it will rain, it doesn’t. It has been a very dry couple of months around here.

That’s a remarkable app – mine just gives me probability of rain in a three hour window.

The app said the tornado was only supposed to tear up my neighbor’s house, but it got mine, too.

Never use a free app. Lots of ads and very inaccurate.

What is remarkable is that occasionally the NWS gets it right.
