Flowers. And give her a week off. Do all of her chores for a week.

She won’t keep that gift either. She’ll use it to stimulate the economy.

Gift card from Chic-fil-a or Dunkin donuts. Winners every time.

That’s the one thing he wants returned.

I once got my wife a $100 gift card. She exchanged it for two $50’s.

err… well yes, but anything else that might be meaningful?

The way the dollar is going she will exchange it for Euro’s.

She’ll complain it’s the wrong size.

Brutus should be asking his wife not her mother!

Give her a kiss and be happy when she returns it.

Careful. Could be she’ll return all your personal belongings for more money.

And give her plenty of it or you get the ole evil eye Brutus and a night out dinning goes with it…

I’m sure she’ll get all sentimental over that gift.

The trouble with giving money is regardless of how much you give it’s never enough.

The one thing about money or a gift credit card is that you can be sure that whatever she spends it on is something she wants. However cash is very tacky for a wife gift. Jewelry on the other hand is usually appreciated and rarely criticized by the recipient. (My wife jewelry box looks like a treasure chest from the Tower of London.) Incorporating that with a lavish meal at a nice restaurant is a winning duo. A weekend away for the wife by herself at a spa resort could fit the bill. A romantic getaway for the husband and and wife sans the children could also be nice. However, the old standby of candy, flowers and breakfast in bed and a family outing for the day without the mother-in-law is what I think she really wants. In essence, show that she is appreciated all the year long but especially on this special day set aside just for her……

Give her your love Brutus. That’s something we ALL want returned!

That’s why I mostly send my niece money for her birthday and Christmas. It’s a guaranteed hit!
