My wife goes to the pharmacy for me, because of my severe back pain. I only have seven prescriptions, not 15. Having back pain is almost the definition of a plugger.
All clinic communication is through email; no texts, no voicemail. Then there’s the dental office. Call for an appointment, email confirmation, email reminder, text reminder.
My Pharmacy sends texts, and I can use their app to see what I’m picking up. If there are refills, I can see when each med is due to be refilled. I used mail order years ago, when my insurance company required it, but I prefer picking it up. Gives a reason to get out, and I often include grocery shopping in the trip.
I give permission for the pharmacy to send me emails. I never give permission to anyone to send me texts or to leave voicemails on my cell phone. (I have a landline where it’s okay to leave voicemails). One business I deal with sent me a text today, and I promptly called them and told them I had specified that they were not to use my cell phone, and that I was blocking their number. I don’t know how the got the cell number, since I didn’t give it to them. Some people just can’t take a hint (or a clear statement!) until you get nasty, which I don’t like to do.

Know of anyone who still goes to the pharmacy — despite the pandemic — from which to pick-up their prescriptions?

I go just to have a reason to get up and get out of the house.

My brother said no one uses voicemail anymore. I laughed.

I am soooo thankful and glad I am not that kind of Plugger. 15?! Better living through better living not Big Pharma.

Most of my voicemails are from my wife when she calls when I’m driving. Needs me to pick up items while I’m out and about.

The thing that’s unrealistic is that he has 15 ready at once. They usually refill several days apart.
