You can tell this is an old comic. I don’t think anyone is that excited about the news anymore.

For the first time in their marriage? Why couldn’t they make noise in the beginning of their marriage — before the kids arrived????

Can’t really blame Elly this time.

After all, she doesn’t want ANOTHER April!!

If it’s the news, turn it off! Besides the widely discussed problems with what passes for news these days, it is not a good idea to be watching TV, and especially the harbingers of doom, at bedtime. What are we supposed to do? Jump out of bed and mediate the Ukraine-Russia war?

This makes me wonder: should I have been a harbinger? So many questions….

Today it is almost like, “What is the point of getting married?” There are so many options out there now and any form of media doesn’t help keep a marriage together like life is meant to be.

I agree with kittygatos… no TV in the bedroom! If you have insomnia, get into a soothing routine… a warm bath, a cup of hot chocolate, reading (anywhere but in bed), and maybe a sleep mask or blackout shades.

News is NOT what John had in mind.

Some people need the sound of the TV to lull them to sleep.I am rapidly becoming one of them.

TV’s should be banned from bedrooms. They are bad for one’s health.

Slow down, John, you just had a third kid. How many more do you want.

Slid down under the covers, then crawl up under her nightgown tongue first. She won’t be watching the news for long!
