How about a policy that when a fan throws a beer can, the entire SECTION is ejected from the stadium? Bet the other fans will get real hyped about making sure that any cementhead who throws them gets, well, street justice.
Hinds should have done this one about Philly fans, they are the ones who cheered when some dude took out Santa Claus with an ice ball at Franklin Field back in the day.
It’s funny how not long after the beer throwing incident by Yankees fans, there was the other fan incident where a Blue Jays fan caught an Aaron Judge home run ball and promptly gave it to a young Yankee fan who was wearing a Judge jersey. And it was what, a couple days later that the Yankees arranged for the kid to meet Aaron Judge in person. Maybe I’m cynical, but it seemed like the team exploited a sweet moment for a PR move.

In my experience of trash cans, they will just dump stuff NEAR the can.

It’s YANKEES fans, guys, not Rhodes Scholars…these are people who throw AAA batteries at fan favorites and D cells at opponents.

That and after about three hours of the ballgame, would it smell like a garbage can?

What would the Texas Rangers manager say about The Polo Grounds, where you could hit a 257 foot home run?
Saw Rickey Henderson get a home run at the Stadium once—it fell into the very BEGINNING of the right field stands near the foul pole.

“Oh, the Houston Asterisks are visiting.”
