Yes. Happy Jubilee. You have reigned through years of peace and years of war and world change and turbulence. You have done so with dignity never wavering in your duty. God bless you now and always. Thank you.
Yes, even though your dear husband isn’t here to celebrate with you. You looked so happy in the picture our paper published yesterday. Congratulations Your Magesty.
Someone recently claimed that no king or queen has ruled in England since the English Civil War. That’s not quite accurate. King James II tried to rule as well as reign. His father’s attempt had led to the Civil War and his own attempt led to the Glorious Revolution of 1688. The House of Stuart continued after James II went into exile as James was succeeded by William III. William was succeeded by Queen Anne and then the House of Hanover began under the reign of George I.
There’s a wonderful supporting cast in today’s tribute to the Queen. Fred, Jock and Yorky in the foreground with Fifi, the cat and the Tucker Twins among those in the background.
It might just be my Jacobite ancestry speaking here. I’ve no issue with Her Majesty, but several of her progeny need a good swift kick in the royal caboose. No names mentioned….
Happy Jubilee, your Majesty from all of us here at Pine Haven, Alabama. God Save The Queen. God Save the Land of Hope and Glory who gave our laws, our language, our Rights, and so many traditions. (And let’s forget about the little tiff a while back. Okay?)
I think it’s very nice, and although she’ made a few mistakes here and there (in 70 years, no less!), she’s done an OK job. Thanks to all our starring critters (go, Purrcy!) and their humans!

I think the original of this strip (autographed by its creator, of course) would make a lovely gift for Her Majesty!
