Well, that joke took an unexpected turn.

Guilty, we use to get out the olde yellow pages and people with weird or suggestive last names. Lots of laughs. No harm no foul. It means we could @ least read, ha!

Kids can’t prank like this anymore. Glad I lived through the generation who could. Harmless fun. (I think).

we used to ask if they had Prince Albert in a can….and if they did to let him go, before he suffocates….

We used to call repeatedly, and ask for Joe

A few minutes later we called and say, hello, this is Joe, have there been any calls for me?

Be careful what you say, Red, to strangers on the phone. I do love the joke, tbpugh!

I used to get a drunk guy calling from a bar for someone named Steve. He would often call rather late, but I was up late back then. After a few times of hearing, “Is this Steve?” (I am female) I said, “I am Steve.” He said, “No you aren’t.” Eventually, after months of this almost every single night, I taught him how to set up auto-dial. It seemed to work; I haven’t heard from him in years. It wasn’t deliberate prank calling, but it had the sense of it.

Red, the old gentlemen was just glad someone called so he would have someone to talk to ;-)
