The whiter the bread, the sooner you’re dead.

Our homemade bread has unbleached flour, whole wheat flour, and a 7-grain mixture. White bread = yechh!

I Wonder who thought of it?

The irony is that white bread began as a superluxury item. Only the very wealthy could afford wheat that had been so completely scoured of its nutrients.

Does it whiten your teeth when you eat it?

It’s the best thing since, well, sliced bread.

Give me sourdough for a grilled cheese.
