Reminds me of the moment in “What’s New Pussycat?” (1965) when Woody Allen tells Peter O’Toole about his job as a “dresser in a strip joint,” (which is a deep and very funny line in itself): the O’Toole character remarks that 25 francs a week doesn’t sound like very much to be paid, and Woody says, “It’s all I could afford.”
But then a lot of things remind me of that moment.
