There’s the work place, and the home place, and never the twain should meet, is my view. It’s cool if others like it though.

Funny thing is, a lot of workers are more productive working from home than at the office. Once they went remote because of the virus, my son’s supervisor had to ask him to slow down a bit. The distractions of the office were no longer an issue for him. He’s had three promotions since then and has trained several new folks all from his bedroom. Doesn’t work for everyone, but sure did for him.

I’ve been working from home since April of 2020 with maybe 1 day a week going in as the most. I love it.

How many people work here? Almost half, the rest play games on the internet until they are let go.

I think I’ll add that to my email signature line: “Ideation Requires Percolation”

That’s why a lot of people don’t want to go back to the office to work.

I often wondered about Isaac Newton, shut in alone during the the “great plague” of 1665-1667, inventing mechanics and writing Principia, with no feedback or external comment. Definitely living at the 5th level of Maslow’s pyramid.

Just adding drive time to the time you can spend actually accomplishing something should boost output considerably.

Not having to pay for transportation and donating time to the company almost feels like a big raise to a lot of people.
