Yup, it’s a venomous mammal that lays eggs, has a bill but no teeth, has otter claws and a beaver tail, and senses prey through electrolocation. The first scientists who examined a preserved platypus body deemed the thing a fake, a sewn-together mish-mash of other animal pieces. Oops.
