    Am reading The Golden Thread by Kassia St. Claire, and the invention of the sail was a BIG deal in the history of sailing. . .how fabric changed history is one of those micro-histories that you never think about. . .denim and linen particularly. . .

    The ‘haughty’ sophisticated John Kerry likes to wind surf. [If Kerry believed anything he says he would use a sailboat to travel to all the idiotic “carbon dioxide is a deadly pollutant” get togethers. He would also have to travel on land by electric vehicles, recharged by solar, wind, or nuclear power!]
