Oh, I just realized what those white things were coming out of Louie. Wow, he really got skunked. Which reminds me of the following story.
One night several years back, my LouieG. discovered a skunk (he had never seen one before) in the bushes and went to get a closer look. All of a sudden, he whipped around and came quickly back with the skunk’s unforgettable perfume wafting in the air. Luckily, Louie wasn’t hit in his eyes, just got a bit on the side of his face and neck. The only thing I had on hand was white vinegar. I wiped him down with it, and to my surprise, it worked well.
I had thought the skunk didn’t shoot a full load, but when I looked at the plants the next day, there was a long and clear line of burned leaves on the bushes. The skunk had definitely not withheld fire. Lou’s not a predatory dog and he evidently believed discretion was the better part of valor. Plus, back then, he had very quick reactions.
Which makes me wonder — do skunks stamp their feet before spraying? That could be why Lou moved so quickly.
at least one of you got the low hanging fruit, one of the best strips out there and so few comments. btw where were the welcome committee for june and july
