There’s one very big radical right-wing cable news channel, several moderate right leaning news channels, at least one solid and as objectively neutral as it’s ever gonna get news channel, and a couple of left-leaning news channels. Skip the radical right and the left leaning, and you’ll get most of what you need without the histrionics.

There was a “Bloom County” I remember from years ago, They watching TV, and one says "Cool explosions! Is this a show or the news? Wow! That tank blowing up was cool! ..Unless it’s real… It continues and he finally yells “WILL SOMEONE TELL ME IF I’M SUPPOSED TO BE ENJOYING THIS OR NOT?!!”

The best way to watch the TV news is to not watch it.
