Let’s face it…bread is just raw toast.

Toast is the thing that keeps us from eating jelly out of the jar with a spoon. Like barbarians. Peanut butter, in the other hand, was meant to be eaten with a spoon.

Yeah. It’s like pancakes. Why all the names like flapjacks and hot cakes or whatever. They’re all just butter and maple syrup delivery systems.

My late loving wife only really liked “cheese on toast”, muenster melted really well and brown and bubbly.

Eh, too clunky, I think. At least “toast” has the courtesy of being light on syllables.

Sheldon gave an explanation for the word toast on Big Bang Theory. :)
