This speaks to that time we all experience when we spend too much time handling food until we get to the point where we are not hungry. It’s funny because this has never happened to me, no matter how much food I handle. If anything, being around food when I am hungry tends to make me want to buy more.

I was a baker. Don’t remember a time I needed a lunch break.

This is why you need to wash the fresh vegetables.

I felt the same way after working at KFC for 10 days or so. I couldn’t eat fried chicken for a full year. Everyone was shocked especially my grandma who made the best fried chicken in the world.

You probably smelled chicken in your sleep.

Now that it is irrefutably confirmed (as I inferred a couple of days ago) that this other guy is a boss/supervisor, I will reiterate the point I made then, which is that this is the type of boss that inspired Johnny Cash to make a record like Oney.

I used to be a bus boy at a country club. I never got tired of Châteaubriand, homemade Caesar Salad dressing and caviar.

After this summer, don’t be surprised if Mike never wants to go NEAR a supermarket again!!

I hope that after this job ends, there will be time for some R&R before having to hit the books again.

Has anyone worked in a chocolate shop or bakery? I always wondered if people would get tired of it. I mean free samples, yumm.

@AlondraRachellaLabute- That’s how it always is. Years ago one of my cousin’s boyfriends was a chef and when he came home, the last thing he wanted to see was a kitchen.

A Chinese company once made an English error on packaging. Understandable but why oh why would a cartoonist perpetuate that stupid “expiry”.

It’s true. If you’re working with food you don’t want to eat the food.

My family had a grocery store in a small town. My grandpa owned it, and I worked there sometimes. He said I could have anything I wanted to eat. Oddly enough, after the first few days of taking him up on that, I rarely ate anything at the store.

Must be a small store for Mike to have all those chores.

Worked at a Steahhouse in college…. I DID get tired of steak, even though free. Guess you can get too much of a good thing.

Not easy working in the food business, it? All the sights and smells from the shelves and display cases bring out your hunger pangs.

Ahhh…poor grandma.

I remember after my first day working in a grocery store that I bagged groceries all night in my dreams…

I was wrong about that man being a co-worker. I apologize to everyone.

I worked in a major grocery store in produce, bakery and dairy. It wasn’t quite this bad as if there was a stocking change it was usually done over night except for produce but then we got it done towards the end of the day. I never had a problem eating then. Now when I worked at Arby’s that was a different matter.
