Larry’s version of the piggies is superb. He likes subverting these fairy-tale children’s entertainments. I like it as a mode of parenting. Let your kids know that you can be fun sometimes. They will hopefully remember that in about twenty years.
Someone is grinning his ears off. Let’s see that grin, when he’s ordered into the principals office ’cause his son is singing that during class insisting on “All the others got it wrong!”
Nathan Pyle knows the correct words to songs as well. “The small 8 legged creature ascends the liquid drain. The liquid flows, his grip he can’t maintain. Out comes the star and dries it as before, and the small 8 legged creature ascends the drain once more.”
Kind of sounds like my story about the 3 little pigs and the big bad wolf. Our grandson wanted to hear that story every night at bedtime. So one night I told him: Once upon a time there were three little pigs and the big bad wolf ate them. The End. He looked at me and started laughing. Knew he would be alright with different story endings.
