I have rarely been duped by other people. Even then, I didn’t stay duped.
I think I look for different things in other people than many people do. I am not impressed by a person’s celebrity, riches or power and few people have even heard of those I hold in high respect and emulate as my role models.
Sometimes I asked people whom I was counseling, who kept going back into a poor relationship, “How do people go broke playing stud poker? Go broke playing a game where they can literally see that they’re beaten? Answer – they keep falsely believing that staying for just one more card will turn things around”.

When someone makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up I listen to the hair. It has never been wrong.
