I have a fake fish tank that “swim” when you turn on the battery powered magnets at the base. I fill it with water when expecting out of town guests.

I knew a family that had that, although unintentionally, the fish all died, so for a while they had an algae farm, then they finally got around to buying more fish.
i had aquariums as a kid and have always wanted to set up another one, but i haven’t been able to find any mermaids small enough…
