Homeslice, Doris looks as though she would be great fun. One reason why you won’t like her. One reason you will like her is that you can swat her and she will not retaliate just think you are playing with her. Doris does look like a sweet dog.
Awww! Lennie, will she have Facebook and Insta? Some dogs and cats are great with each other. We joke that our Pepperpot raised Jelly from a tiny puppy. She was his puppy!
Now Sultan takes care of her.. he lets her kiss him, and he mudges her. And pats her when she won’t stop barking! She stops right away when he does that. And I swear, someday she is going to be the first dog with retractable claws. You can feel her trying when she’s lying on or next to you :)
Heh. Stick-legged baked potato indeed! Thank you for the photos! HS is looking quite svelte (just right – no ribs, no flab); Doris could probably use a few walks. 8-)
I hope they do get along soon, and HS blinks soon. HS may even appreciate the non-vibrating heating pad come winter. Meanwhile, I don’t think Doris could get to any of HS’s “up” places.

You do a mighty fine job drawing Doris, Lenny. I suspect Doris and Homeslice will be best buds some day soon.

Cool outfit Doris is wearing in the photo. Much gentler than a choke collar. Getting a mature 4-year old means house broken, I hope…

They are beautiful animals. They look healthy and happy and well loved. Congratulations and well done.

Thank you for including a real photo of Homeslice, too! I think your family is happily complete!

That picture leaning on the potted plant in the Homeslice panel looks like detailed artwork that has been in one of your comics, is that true?

She’s adorable. I hope Homeslice warms up to her soon.

The two of them together remind me of the Perisphere and Trylon from the 1939 New York World’s Fair. (Great photo of Homeslice!)

Thanks for the pictures – Doris is adorable! We should place bets on when HS will cave and allow them to become best buddies.

I know I’m late to the party (always save up comics for a week), but my mom’s name is Doris so this whole bit is kinda weirding me out.
